Plateau, or is it?

Three weeks in a row I weighed in and weighed the same. AGGHHH.

But, how mad can I really be? I know I’ve been misbehaving, so what am I to expect, right?

I’m at a point that seems all too familiar. I start to get comfortable with the fact that I am loosing weight every week and then I say to myself, “Oh this one cookie and piece of chocolate won’t be a big deal. I’ll track it later.” Well, later never comes and before you know it I’ve put on TWO pounds!!!!

Yea, that’s right two pounds. It’s a slippery slope. This is not the first time I’ve tried Weight Watchers, got comfortable, and then slipped, no rolled, back down the hill again. Hopefully I am catching it in time, because I do not want to give up. I was really starting to have fun fitting back into some things that I have not been able to wear in a while. It’s such a great feeling. That’s the feeling I need to hold on to. Not the feeling I get when I eat a cookie :-)

When I talked to the people at my meeting they suggested that I go back to the flex plan. So, as much as I don’t like to count points and write everything down, I’m going to do it.

Let the counting begin!

Ok, here we go again!

So, it’s been how many weeks since I’ve posted something? True to form I have slacked off from my blog and my diet. Why do I always do that? Things are not terrible mind you, I am down another pound since my last post for a total of 14.2 lbs. but it’s also been quite a bit of time in between.

What is it that makes me want to eat everything I can get my hands on. I mean seriously! Is it stress or boredom? Not sure.

This weekend I went to Maine and had a blast, but… I did not plan my food. You know the saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. Well, the trail mix, potato chips and pizza took over. I can tell, I am going to be paying a heafty price this week at the scale. Ugggghhh.

Goal: I will track all of my food this week.

Week Eight

Ok, I’ve been a little slow getting these up here. Not because I don’t want to tell, but because I’m starting to get a bit lazy. Need to get back up on the ‘ol Tumblr horse!

Anyway, week eight wasn’t a huge win, but it’s a win none the less. -.2lbs still in the right direction! I have a feeling that this week is going to be a good one boys and girls!

Total weight loss to date: 13.2lbs!

Week Seven

Another .4 lbs down! I’m happy that it’s in the negative direction. I misbehaved a bit last week foodwise, but I did start with a trainer!

A few of us girls at work got together and are sharing the cost of a boot camp class at our work gym. I’m pretty excited. I can use the push!

This week, we didn’t meet with her, but I did drag myself to the gym twice!

Week Five

Not fantastic, but not awful either (and there are extenuating circumstances-ladies, you know what I mean).

Down another .2 lbs for a total of 6.8 lbs since starting core. I think from now on I am going to report my progress from my starting weight when I was at my highest. Taking that into consideration, I am down a total of 12.6 lbs! Now, that’s nothing to sneeze at!

Birthday parties...

I had a party to go to today, which made me a bit nervous. How am I going to stay on track and be around all that ‘bad for me’ food? Well, In addition to the pepperoni bread that I was asked to bring, I decided I would bring a veggie tray with fat free dip, so that I would have something core to munch on, as well as my own dessert…fat-free, sugar-free butterscotch pudding with sugar-free Cool Whip! I wanted to make sure that I had something yummy to eat when everyone was eating cake. And I succeeded! I got a little bit of fun poked at me, but WHO CARES! I avoided the unavoidable cake extravaganza, and saved myself from an unnecessary deduction of weekly points!

Week Four

Even with a few slip-ups this past week I’m down another 1.4 lbs!! If I keep this up I’ll be beach-ready in no time!

It’s tough when you get invited to dinner at someone’s house. You have no control over what they are going to serve. I think it would be helpful next time for me to suggest bringing something like a veggi platter so I have core options for snacks. And maybe eating a little something before I go, so I’m not starving by the time the meal comes around.
